LYON LEGACY MOTORCARS
Lyon Legacy Motorcars is an editorial book documenting the private automobile collection of General William Lyon. Created for my senior thesis, the project spans more than 130 pages and showcases pre-war classics, coachbuilt automobiles, and post-war sports and competition cars through refined composition, photography, and archival storytelling.
Inspired by the idea of automobiles as cultural artifacts rather than purely mechanical objects, the book explores the craftsmanship, history, and legacy behind each vehicle. The publication preserves the collection as both a visual archive and a tribute to General Lyon’s lifelong passion for automobiles, while tracing the evolution of these vehicles across generations.
